Lego Batman Beleaguered & Lego Justice League vs. Bizarro League

These are NOT to be confused with The Lego Batman Movie released in 2017. That movie was fantastic. These are different. Wayyyyy different.

There’s a million of these Lego movies and the only good ones are the Lego Scooby-Doo ones. There I said it.

The humor is so cringy! It’s sad hearing such great voice actors like Dee Bradley Baker, Troy Baker, John DiMaggio, Grey Griffin, Tom Kenny, Nolan North, Khary Payton, Paul Ruebens, Kevin Michael Richardson, and James Arnold Taylor make such terrible jokes. Sometimes I didn’t even realize a joke was made until the character explains it and explain it they do! Everytime!

[Second Opinion: I watched these again recently and I gotta say: Everytime a character said “Get it?” after a joke, I wanted to punch my screen. I’m certain it happened more than six times. If you played a drinking game around how often it occurred you’d be under the table by the second film. Watching at twice the speed did make them slightly more bearable.]

The Lego games are great. They usually release one of these movies in tandem with the games and scenes from these are used in the game. These scenes even suck in the games. I dont even care.

Don’t give me this “Oh it’s not made for your demographic.” My 4 year old watched this and not an ounce, not one iota of mirth or merriment emanated from him. In fact several times he looked at me with a deadpan expression and asked how much longer this is followed by “Can we read Psychology Today now?” Demographic! Nah!
