This movie is garbage. The man had a fiancé and the only thing wrong with her as far as Alec Baldwin’s character was concerned was that she wasn’t Kim Basinger’s character. This was one of those movies where a couple of married actors said, “Let’s make a movie about us being in love!” Except their concept of real love is so convoluted they completely miss the mark. All I could think about was the poor woman he left behind, what a piece of crap he was being to her, and all of her fathers money. If anything this film is an explanation as to why Alec and Kim are no longer married. What a piece of tripe this is.

    Decades later sequels are big now, the pitch is that Elisabeth Shue murdered Alec Baldwin in a fit of jealous rage, did 30 years and now she’s out. Kim Basinger meanwhile has been training in MMA and advanced weapon techniques all that time to double revenge murder Elisabeth Shue after she gets released from prison. Action scene, action scene, thin line between love and hate, they fall for each other, sex scene, sex scene, uh-oh Alec Baldwin faked his death and he has a nuclear satellite!
