Great movie. One might assume a film about a man alone on Mars would be slow but the suspense is constant and the humor is steady. It all wraps up with a very exciting climax. I love the line “No offense but I am the greatest botanist on the planet.” I had a hard time getting my mom to watch this because she assumed it was a cartoon about Marvin the Martian. Wasn’t Matt Damon’s character in a very similar situation in the film Intersellar? He was a butthole in that film though. This is the nice guy version.
