AMAZING PANDA ADVENTURE

Every once in a while a cheap made-for-tv movie comes along and blows me away. This is not one of those times. I’m not going to be overly harsh for much the same reason I wouldn’t be overly harsh criticizing athletes at the special olympics. This movie puts in an honest effort and with their capabilities they did manage to produce a wholesome film. It just seems like a lot more could have been done to make a trek through a Chinese forest interesting. I mean there are TWO rapid River rescues. It’s an hour and 24 minutes and that’s all the action they could come up with? No one is asking them to jump the shark but there’s nothing wrong with a little sensationalism. How about a tiger attack? How about a band of angry Cossacks? How about acknowledging that the panda keeps changing from a stuffed animal into a cheaply made robot? You’re probably right though. None of these changes would be appropriate for the special olympics.

Also, it’s total BS that Yi Ding was not featured on the box art. She was there as much as the other kid.
