Mr. Mom

I can really relate to this film but I scoff at his troubles with a mere three children. I’m happy to say I’ve not become entranced with day time television but Phineas and Ferb are close personal friends with whom I share secrets and personal misgivings. And why not? I shall certainly not be hosting an evening bridge game with a gaggle of attractive milfs. I hate bridge. Now if they were into Bomberman or Mario Kart things would be different.

This film has one of my all time favorite running gags. I won’t spoil it but it has to do with ignorance of electrical installations and then a similar instance with ignorance about firearms. Martin Mull is the straight man in both instances of the joke which is always a good idea. I freaking love Martin Mull!

As far as fish out of water films go, this one stands above the rest because of the lessons it teaches and it’s hilarious to boot! If you haven’t seen this classic, hire a RESPECTABLE babysitter, open a bottle of formula… I mean whine…  I mean WINE… and watch this movie in the ten minute intervals of free time you get between emergency phone calls.
