A Non-Review by Professor Popinjay

Hilarious. I highly recommend this movie! The acting was superb. It was well written. The humor was constant! It was romantic. I loved it. The only thing I couldn’t wrap my head around was the female pop star character. It wasn’t a huge role so I know they wouldn’t want to cast a better actress but her acting was so obtuse and I couldn’t figure out if it was intentional or not. She was clearly supposed to be young and disconnected, a little crazy from fame. A better actress might have been able to portray these attributes but the young lady they went with came off as inexperienced in comparison to Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. It certainly didn’t ruin the movie. I just told myself she was supposed to be that way and enjoyed it. This is a good one which I’d be glad to watch again someday.
