A Non-Review by Professor Popinjay
This movie caught my attention because it was futuristic and had robots. Clearly a lot of money went into this film but I have to wonder why. It’s garbage. Just one depressing and uncomfortable scene after another, none of which is dependent on a futuristic setting nor robots. The main character is mute which really only existed more as a tacked on gimmick than an important plot device. There is a strange Amish presence throughout the film which makes no sense to me other than to explain why the main character remained mute. Though his refraining from the use of technology made solving his mystery all the more difficult in this future world. I’m making this sound more interesting than it was. The story had potential and was even executed well but it petered out into a dreary mess that, while it ended on a high note, didn’t leave me with good feelings and made me ask what the point off it all was.
