A Non-Review by Professor Popinja
(2005)
Not much to say about this. It’s a harmless impetus for discussion about race and discrimination. Fairly predictable plot. Some poop humor. Has an all star cast of talking animals which are always fun to determine who is who.

Just the accomplishment of getting a real life zebra to run with horses is pretty amazing, let alone one bearing Hayden Panettiere. I hear she got hurt pretty badly during the filming. Very sorry for her and I sincerely hope she had a speedy and full recovery.
Director Frederik Du Chau was primed to make a sequel and even had written a script but apparently the racing zebra movies had run their course [Note: Haha! Racing pun!].
Sorry Frederik, no Air Bud-esque straight to home video franchise for this zebra. More’s the pitty. I know they (gnomes) have a tendency to start cranking out sequels to stuff like this for money’s sake but it gives me funny stuff to write about. That’s a win in my book. I can’t wait to write about Air Bud and its myriad of sequels. This could have been one of those!
Well, this is no “Alien” Dodecahextuplegy or “I, Robot” Monology, but it is cute and the kids liked it. Someone’s kids did, anyway. Not mine. They didn’t exist when I saw this.
